The Star in the Metro. 03/31/2011

Was fully-charged for the day's adventure after the previous day's exhausting Manila tour. It was past twelve noon when we were ready for Star City! Rode a bus to Vito Cruz from Las Pinas and then from there, we hopped in for a jeepney ride to Star City!!!
Lezzgooo!
I've never tried extreme rides in my 24 years. (I guess extreme for me was that mini Ferris Wheel ride sa Peryahan.) Well, I am not sure if I consider it fortunate or unfortunate to have such an extremely adventurous friend, who pushed us to go that path with pressures too! (LOL!) The first ride was with that stomach-wrenching Surf Dance. I ain't kinda like it. Then to that Wild River which I like, in fairness. Tornado, or watchamacallit?! Then to that extremely, superbly great ride, STAR FLYER. I can't believe I made it! At least that was the first time I tried going that extreme. Hihihihi. That's when I realized that riding the Blizzard was NO fun. LOL!

Before we end our adventure at Star City, we stopped by this small pools with fishes in it. These tiny little creatures are called DOCTOR FISH, which as what I have read will regenerate your dead skin cells. They will nibble on your toes and feet. That was awful at first! But after 10-15 minutes of screaming out loud, I dipped my feet into them and let them do the cleaning. LOL! I ain't scared anymore! And I think it was awesome but I will need another 10 minutes first before I can try it again next time! Hahaha.

After that fantastic adventure, we went to MOA to fill our stomach. Then waited for the fireworks display. There's no blue moments. No time to frown. No time to wrinkle a face except when Mr. Sun is up and you ain't got a pair of glasses. If there's a stronger word than EXTREMELY HAPPY, that would be it. Good friends, great day! What else could you ask for on that day? Nada. :)

Enchantingly Fun. 04/01/2011

EKstremely fun!

I thought this was already the bravest thing I've done so far. Well, I specifically requested to visit and have fun at Enchanted Kingdom. It was like a kid's request for some candies to her mom before entering the grocery store. And that awesome request was granted. You can just imagine how that would make a kid happy -- like, the ear to ear smile, if you know what I mean. So we tried this "EK-streme" ride that scared the hell out of me. It was as if I was grappling over my soul because it was about to go somewhere else thinking I made a decision that ain't like me. LOL! I am such a proud lass for trying that out but I ain't gonna bargain another ME sitting on that ride. A big NO, NO!

Ahoo! Ahooo! Aho!
The next ride was on that Log Jam if I remember it correctly. Then to that, SPACE SHUTTLE which I actually felt I need to back out from that long line because I thought I really don't have this ass-kickin' prowess for extreme adventures. But for the sake of Tagaytay, I said yes. It was me who asked them to go there anyway. So I jumped in to that ride with heavy feet, almost as if I'm gonna have some nervous breakdown anytime soon. LOL! I realized that it was not that awful as the EKstreme and I would rather do it over again if I get the chance. I did it!!! Woohooo.. I did it!! LOL!

Memories

I need to share this little secret though. I am afraid of FERRIS WHEEL RIDES or that WHEEL OF FATE!!! Because you get stuck on the top. I hate the feel of gravity, as if pulling you down. I still have this fear of heights, you know. Especially if I think anybody can push me off from where I am seated. OMG!

Rio Grande Rapids
And the last ride that soaked me on our way to the next trip was that Rapids. I thought I was lucky but unfortunately, there's that waterfalls. And you can guess what happened next. Hahahaha. Uhmmm, yeah. We only tried the extreme rides and not a boring ride at all, so they said. *winks*

My Exotic Tagaytay Experience. 04/01/2011

At my back is the view of Taal volcano at Josephine's

I was half-ready for the Tagaytay capriccios because I was dripping wet yet wildly excited for the trip. I want you to imagine this: It was one hot summer afternoon, one that could make sticky sweats all over your body with just sitting around the corner and would encourage you to brag about a tan line or your sunburnt skin. While you traverse on that road always travelled by tourist, there is that cold misty feel as the breeze touches your skin despite that aggressive rays of the sun. Nice, isn't it? That's how I can describe the wonderful trip we had heading to Tagaytay!!!

Tawilis

We went to this fancy restaurant and had sumptuous seafood lunch/dinner. I am not a seafood person but I honestly enjoyed the food. (Except for that oyster with spinach toppings though. LOL!) We stayed at Josephine's for an hour or so and then looked for a coffee shop where we can chill ourselves more over a cold frappuccino. That is what you call a TORTUROUS day!

We waited until night and then got ready for home.

But to add extra fun to that overly fun day which is I guess the biggest event of all, was when they ate BALUT and had ('forced' would be a more appropriate word. LOL!) me share with them that "delicious" gross, i mean, food (?!).. I am no sucker for exotic foods really.. I haven't eaten balut ever and I don't even like the taste of that liquid with vinegar inside the egg. OMG. So again this sweet blackmail went off abruptly, just like the not-going-to-Tagaytay-unless-we-ride-on-that-SPACE -SHUTTLE sorta thing. Mama Mia!!! So then I took the challenge or else we won't be going home anytime soon. We were at the dark side of this Buko Pie store. About few minutes, I took a bite of I think the yellow part. Then another few more minutes was on that other hard part, I dunno what that was. Then the biggest and hardest challenge was to eat that soft, tiny chick about few days old. OMG, that's abortion! LOL! It took me more than 3 attempts to chew it but I can't so what I did was just swallow it without chewing that I almost choked and puked with teary eyes. OMG! I would never ever try that again. That hurt my big, sensitive tummy! LOL! So I just had to sleep my way back home which ended up my contacts to stuck in between my eyelids, I thought I lost it. (Again.) Arrghh..

I will reiterate what I said before. I really don't know if I can say I am fortunate or unfortunate to have friends as adventurous as them. But I would never have tried all of those without them pressuring me. LOL! So I should say the BIGGEST thanks to them still. :D

Thought for today. 06/11/12

Ganiha sa jeep, duha ka mama nagstorya. I was on tanga mode but mka-eavesdrop man jud ko kay the other nanay was near the driver nya ang isa in front of me sa end part pud. Nanay 1 was telling Nanay 2 about her little business just to get through the day and to help her with expenses kay naa daw xa gipaskwela mga anak. She said, she has, if I am correct, 4 or 5 kids and 5 grandchildren from her eldest daughter. The daughter is in Manila now, nikuyog sa barkada ky galabad daw ang ulo because of the break up with the ex-husband. I don't mean to be such an ass of somebody else's business. I appreciate how noble she is but it seems like a typical Filipino family already. Everything roots from this situation. Well, we learned since grade school that family is the basic unit of society and logic and common sense would tell us what we ought to do, that's our moral and natural obligation. Then, we blame those politicians for the outcome of our own doings. Why not take responsibility of the things we did and will do? We can only sympathize but there could have been options for the better. I will just pray for her and all other families. Most especially for my family which I know is not perfect as well. Taasa ug litanya oi. #justsayin'
