Rotten Education

Learning about subjects -- Science, Mathematics, or Languages, they call it, Education. How important is it on the minds of the teachers, the students, and the general populace? Different perspectives for different kinds of people, actually.

Just recently, I am utterly furious about how the system runs. Well, I am well-aware that education is also learning about the importance of life. Understanding about the characters and attitude of one's self and others. Of course, there is Pschycology and other courses that we can relate to the topic. However, on the irony, teachers cannot even understand what Education is. I am not scrutinizing all of them though because I came from a family of teachers. My mother, I could proudly say, is a very good one at her profession. But the one problem I am very much affected, is how some of the teachers, specifically, those who came from our province, do not know the importance of Child Pshycology.

I did not hold them at fault though for every wrong doings but they owe us some worthy explanations. To start with, I have a brother who has their own petty wrong deeds and a bit of not-so-good temper which is really common in the family. We are not one of those who lack comprehension skills, in fact, my brothers excel in their classes. My brother who is almost 2 years younger than I, is currently taking a course to accelerate to college, hopefully. He has not finished high school and was transferred from one school to another. I do not blame all of this to him just because he is too lazy to go to school. Being lazy and bored at school is a very shallow reason which I cannot personally accept. We all get lazy to go to school, and I will not deny that myself. But there are things to consider. It is the WHY's behind the laziness and boredom which will lead us to another significant story that will make our beloved teachers guilty. I have another brother, next to the one I mentioned earlier, who is currently in high school trying and struggling to finish the term. He was enrolled at a catholic school (I am an alumna) for the first half of the school year and was kicked out by the inconsiderate teachers and of course, the principal and guidance counselor, who happens to be the servants of God.

The reason why my brother was expelled in this school? Well, he got in trouble with a schoolmate outside the school campus and it happened after class. As far as my knowledge regarding this matter is concern, I believe it is not under the supervision or jurisdiction of the school to judge the student delinquent as per the actions done outside school and after class. The responsibility is shifted back to the parents who are solely responsible for their children.

I am doing this not because of my personal grudges against my previous teachers and professors, but I am doing this for my brothers. They have been violated. My high school brother whom I am very much concerned about, is complaining about his teachers who's been biased on judging him as a burdensome student. The teacher should know very well about how the student should act. They should be the one who has the patience to understand them. They are just frustrating.

This heated up my temper! And this came from a voice of an older sister and a voice to be heard on behalf, not only for my brothers but for those youths who are left with no choice but to adhere with the ever so respected teachers.

If the future depends on the teachers, then I challenge you to prove it!
